Capital Techno Recordings (CTR) is proud to present CTR115 — the Serpent EP by Swedish hard techno powerhouse MarAxe (Markus Axelsson). Arriving as a Juno Download exclusive on May 8, 2026, the five-track release includes three original productions and remixes from CTR label resident K.E.N.Y.U. and Water Please — before hitting all major platforms on May 22, 2026.
The mighty MarAxe has been on a rip-roaring mission to dominate the hard techno world with release after release of his signature, no-holds-barred menacing sound — and his tracks have earned support from just about everyone that knows what's up. CTR is thrilled to have a piece of his legacy with the Serpent EP.
About the Release
The Serpent EP is MarAxe at his most dangerous. Three originals — Serpent, Rattle, and Stinger — coil and strike with the precision and venom that have made his productions essential DJ tools across the international hard techno circuit. There is nothing decorative here: just hard-hitting, hardgroove-infused techno built for the moment the lights go down and the room locks in.
K.E.N.Y.U. and Water Please each take on the title track, bringing their own perspectives to Serpent without defanging it. K.E.N.Y.U.'s remix channels the hypnotic, high-energy intensity that has defined his own prolific run of releases, while Water Please brings a contrasting — but equally lethal — interpretation. Two remixes, one snake. Neither version blinks.
About MarAxe
Swedish-based DJ and techno producer Markus Axelsson, known by his alias MarAxe, has firmly established himself as one of the leading exports of the Swedish techno scene. Since 2020, he has released over 750 tracks, earning a spot among the top 10 best-selling hard techno producers of 2024 and leaving a significant mark on the global stage.
His productions are defined by a hard-hitting sound infused with classic hardgroove and hypnotic influences — a formula that has charted repeatedly on both Beatport and Juno Download. His Senga EP (Planet Rhythm, 2023) reached #1 on the Juno Download bestseller chart, as did his Zulu EP (Hydraulix, 2024).
MarAxe first gained recognition with his contribution to the NL 500 compilation by Naked Lunch Records in early 2020. Since then, he has released on an impressive roster of respected imprints including Hydraulix, Tronic, Naked Lunch, Planet Rhythm, Soma, Sway, Suara, Kne'Deep, and Remain Records, among many others.
As a DJ, MarAxe brings the same intensity and precision found in his productions — performing at both domestic and international events alongside artists such as Axel Karakasis, D.A.V.E. the Drummer, Deas, Aida Arko, and Speedy J.
